Home to the Shire's headquarters, the Council Chambers, the town is a busy centre servicing the surrounding villages of Main Arm, Myocum, Wilson's Creek, Huonbrook, Montecollum, Coorabell and Goonengerry. The Mullumbimby markets take place on the third Saturday of each month.
